Hello Region 6:
It has been my pleasure to serve as your Member-at-large this past year. It has been a blast working with so many energetic and passionate student pharmacists. I continue to be amazed by the innovation and creativity you bring to APhA-ASP, especially in patient care projects. Being Member-at-large has helped me grow as a leader and develop many skills I will continue to use after my term ends. If you would like to become more involved with APhA-ASP or would like to run for Member-at-large, I encourage you to do so! Also, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about the responsibilities that come with this role.
As MRM approaches, I would recommend that you start thinking about flights and other travel arrangements. I also encourage you to brainstorm ideas to help your members raise funds for the conference. If you need help brainstorming ideas please do not hesitate to send me an email. We will be doing raffles all throughout the conference along with giving out Member Recognition Awards. I look forward to seeing you in Austin, Texas!
Best,
Puja B. Patel

Hello Region 6,
It has been my pleasure serving as your Region 6 Delegate this year. Our region is filled with creative, passionate, and motivated student pharmacists and I am so glad to have been able to serve each and every one of you. Being your Regional Delegate has enhanced my pharmacy school experience like I couldn’t believe and I thank you all for giving me the opportunity. On that note, I would encourage any and all people interested in running for Regional Office to do so.
As we approach MRM and the end of my term, I wanted to give you all some important information regarding the policy process. For dates and deadlines please refer to the “More…” tab, Policy and Advocacy, and Policy Vice President Resources. That page has been updated to help you and your chapters tailor your resolutions for MRM. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
An update on Provider Status legislation, we have exceeded 100 co-sponsors to H.R. 4190. A part of this success is our chapter leadership that had Hill Visits during SLI to advocate on behalf of our profession, as a region we conducted over 25 Hill Visits! Great work, Region 6.
So as I sign off, I again want to thank you all for the opportunity to serve you this year. Seeing the hard work that you all have put into your Patient Care Projects and the policymaking process makes it easy to see that the future of pharmacy is in good hands.
I will see you all in Austin!

Hello, Region 6!
It’s been nothing short of an honor serving you as your Midyear Regional Meeting Coordinator (MRMC) this year. Everything we have been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time makes it incredibly surreal to believe that we’re only about a month away from the end of our term together! We started off with a simple platform: I wanted to make this meeting YOURS. We continued with gathering input from chapter members all across our region. And now we’re here turning your ideas into reality!
With less than 40 days away from the big weekend, I’m happy to report that things are coming together wonderfully - and we owe it all to our dedicated region! First, our Planning Team is working tirelessly to put this meeting together, keeping your feedback in mind with every detail. And secondly, chapter leaders across our seven states are working diligently to promote MRM to potential, new, and current members. It’s this hard work that is going to make our MRM one to remember.
As I eluded to earlier, serving as your MRMC has been a whirlwind of wonderful experiences! Through this position, I was able to find a "home" in APhA-ASP - one that allowed me to discover my voice, pursue my passion, and serve. If this type of opportunity is something that sparks your interest, I encourage you to reach out to me to find out more and consider running at MRM!
Please continue asking questions, providing feedback, and promoting what is going to be the best APhA-ASP Region 6 MRM to date!
Thank you for your passion and see you in Austin!
