The APhA-ASP chapter from The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy is proud to be expanding our involvement in APhA-ASP. This year, we brought fifty-one students to the 2013 Region 6 MRM in Oklahoma City. Last year, our chapter brought eleven students, so our MRM attendance more than quadrupled! We are also witnessing our members step up to “Be The Change” within our chapter. This year’s MRM marked the first time a student from the OU College of Pharmacy (Logan Cast) ran for an APhA-ASP regional office. While he did not win the election, his courage and determination have influenced several other chapter members to apply for national standing committees this winter (another first for our chapter!). Since MRM, two of our members have taken initiative to step into new chapter leadership positions and expand our chapter’s advocacy efforts.
